Amidst all this, a big update is coming out regarding the 2000 rupee note that this note is being seen very less in the market, regarding which important information has been given by the Reserve Bank of India.
It should be mentioned here that not a single note of 2000 rupees has been printed for the last 3 years. Thus this note is negligible in circulation. According to the RTI, no new notes of Rs 2000 have been printed during the years 2019-20, 2020-21, and 2021-22.
The Reserve Bank RBI Has released Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20, Rs 50, Rs 100, Rs 200, Rs 500, and Rs 2000 notes in the market. PM Modi canceled 500 and 1000 rupee notes on 8 November 2016. After that, new notes of 2000 rupees and 500 rupees were released.
If we talk about the number of fake notes, it was 54,776 in the year 2018. In the year 2019, this figure was 90,566 and in the year 2020, it was 2,44,834 notes.
