Aadhaar Card Download full process – All you want to know about at uidai.gov.in

‘Unique makes you the only one’ is like a slogan of Aadhaar. Which is the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is the statutory authority established under the provision of Aadhaar Act, 2016 on 12th of July 2016 by the Government of India beneath the Ministry of Electronic and Information Technology (MeitY).


‘Aadhaar’ which means, ‘foundation’ or ‘base’ in English has always been under the clouds of media or opposition in India for its uses and misuses. Aadhaar requires only proof of address (POA) and proof of Identity (POI) as a document. UIDAI can approve the below documents for Aadhaar.

How to Enrol




Find an Aadhar enrolment centre by visiting the official website 
Fill the form with your details 
Submit the required documents 
Provide your biometrics (Fingerprint & Iris scan) 
Get the enrollment acknowledgement slip 
The Aadhar enrollment is voluntary and free of cost for anyone 




Check  Aadhar Status


To inquire your Aadhar status log into the https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar-status and provide the information given in printed paper while enrolling to the website and check simply. You can also download a hard copy of your enrollment from https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#/ if not provided.

Online Verification


Aadhaar card can also be verified online on https://resident.uidai.gov.in/aadhaarverification by following steps;
Step 1: Log on to the official UIDAI website.
Step 2: Select the option – “Aadhaar services” on the page.
Step 3: Select  “Aadhaar Verification” present on the page.
Step 4: Enter the 12 digits unique Aadhaar number.
Step 5: Enter the one-time password (OTP) that you will receive on your mobile.
Step 6: Submit the application.

Update/Edit Aadhar Card

 

Mainly two reasons are to update Aadhar Card;
  • Change in Demographic data such as name, age, marital status
  • Biometric Aadhaar data
To update/edit any detail, the copy of the current document as well as the proof of identity and the proof of address is required. Updation can be done by visiting the Aadhaar Enrolment centre or logging on to official UIDAI website.
