Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana: Delhi Government launches Free Pilgrimage Scheme for senior citizens

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on December 5, 2018 launched the 'Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana' which offers free travel packages for senior citizens from Delhi to five religious circuits. 



1,100 senior citizens from every constituency of Delhi will be able to avail this facility at one go.

 The scheme, approved by the Cabinet in July, was launched by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at the Delhi Secretariat.

 Kejriwal said: "Our mission is to give good education to the students of Delhi, our mission is to provide better health facilities and services to all and now our mission is to provide the best transport to the people.

 "Our government respects elders and senior citizens. He said that no society or country can progress until and unless it gives respects to its senior citizens."

 Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Health Minister Satyendar Jain, Revenue and Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot, Environment Minister Imran Hussain, SC-ST Welfare Minister Rajendar Pal Gautam and Delhi Chief Secretary Vijay Dev were present at the launch event along with a number of MLAs.

 Sisodia said that the "Yojana will help and promoting communal harmony and brotherhood in society".

Eligibility for the Scheme:

i) Any resident of Delhi above 60 years of age will be eligible for the scheme

 ii) Those selected, will be allowed to be accompanied by an attendant above 18 years of age, whose expenditure will also be borne by the government.

 iii) The applicant should not have an income of above Rs three lakh per annum.

 iv) The applicant should not be an employee of Sentral/state/local government or autonomous bodies.

 v) The applicant will have to give a self-certificate that all information being given by them is correct and they have not availed the scheme in the past.

 vi) Those selected for pilgrimage will be covered with an insurance of Rs two lakh each.

 vii) Travel will be in A/C buses through coach tours of DTTDC, boarding lodging and food along with pilgrimage will be paid for by the government.

 Viii) The age of the attendant must be more than 21 years (In case opting for attendant)

Gujarat Government to launch free treatment scheme for road accident victims

Under the scheme, the state will bear medical expenses of up to 50,000 rupees for each victim of a road accident in the state for the first 48 hours.



Gujarat Road Accident Victim Compensation Scheme 2018-2019 is launched by the State Government of Gujarat. 


The Gujarat Government is making arrangement to provide Free Treatment for the Victim.This is going to help a lot of people.

We all know and see many instances, in which many people are losing their lives because of not able to get proper treatment in time. 

Due to this many of the people are facing so many troubles. Therefore, the Government of Gujarat took this new initiative. 

Well, here through this Gujarat Road Accident Victim Compensation Scheme 2018-2019, Government is willing to help the Victims. And also, they are hoping to provide the Compensation for the Victims. 

Apart from all that, the Victims will also get the Free Treatment. Accordingly, an individual can get the Treatment from either Government or Private hospital.

Benefits of this scheme

Proper treatment for the victims – The state government came up with this accident assistance scheme to ensure that people do not lose their precious lives due to lack of proper treatment. As the state will pay the fee, all hospitals will readily admit the patients.

No issue for volunteers – Small healthcare units do not have all treatment facilities. Private hospitals do not admit patients without an admission fee. When an accident takes place on the street, volunteers do not admit the victim in private hospitals because of the fee issue. With this scheme in place, the state can remove this handicap for good.

Financial aid from the state – It has been mentioned that the state will pay as much as Rs. 50000 for the treatment of the accident victims, in any hospital, for treatment during the first 48 hours.

Hospitals will not charge any money – The state government said that when an accident takes place on the road, both private and public healthcare institutes must admit the patients immediately. They must not charge any fee for first 48 hours. The state authority will later make the payments on behalf of the victim.

Duration of free treatment – It has been mentioned in the draft of this scheme that the state will offer the cost of treatment, for any road accident victim for a span of first 48 hours. Once the danger period is over, the patient party can take over the matters and do as they please.

Private as well as government hospitals – The scheme will apply for both private hospitals as well as all medical care institutions, which are under the state government.

For all accident victims – When an accident happens, it will not differentiate between the victims. Thus, to extend a helping hand towards all accident victims, the state government accounted that residents of other states, as well as foreigners, will also receive this benefit.
