SBI debit card: Step-wise process to
reissue card via website, mobile app
Debit cards have made our lives
quite convenient. It can be used to order food, book movie tickets, travel or
making any other transaction. Sometimes, we lose our debit cards or it gets
stolen. We should not panic in such situations. The process to reissue the
debit card is very simple.
State
Bank of India (SBI), country's biggest lender lets users place the request to
reissue the new card through SBI website, mobile app, writing an email to the
bank and calling at their helpline number. However, it may be noted that a
replacement fee of Rs 100 plus taxes is be charged in case of reissue or
replacement of SBI debit card. Given below is the step by step process to
request to reissue lost or stolen card via website and mobile app.
Through
SBI website-
Step 1: Log on to sbicard.com
Step 2: Click on the ‘Request
Step 3: Click on 'Reissue/Replace Card'
Step 4: Select the card number and then click 'submit'
Through
Mobile app-
Step 1: Download sbicard mobile
app and then Log in
Step 2: Tap on the 'Menu tab' at the top left hand side of the page
Step 3: Now in the next step tap on 'Service Request'
Step 4: Tap on 'Reissue/Replace Card'
Step 5: Select the card number and then tap on 'Submit'

mentioning here is that in order to activate your card, log in to your SBI card
account at sbicard.com or write at sbicard.com/email. You can even call on
helpline number 1860 180 1290 or 39 02 02 02 (prefix local STD code) to
activate your card.
