Renault Triber, the French carmaker's upcoming offering for the Indian market, is set to make its global debut on 19 June.
In the build up to the Triber's premiere, Renault has teased the car, offering a glimpse of the fascia of the upcoming seven-seater. From the teaser, we can gauge that the Triber
The upcoming Renault Triber will be a compact car, similar to the Datsun GO+, but it will not be a sub-4 metre vehicle like the latter. Having said that, the Triber is also expected to be a lot more rigid, offering improved crash capacity and more safety features to make it compliant with the stringent safety norms that will be regulated from October 2019.
This also means that features like ABS with EBD, dual-airbags standard, rear parking sensor, driver seatbelt reminder, and speed alert could be offered as standard fitment.
In this enhanced image, we can see the three-slat chrome Renault grille, rectangular LED DRLs, projector headlamps and a pronounceable hood scoop above the Renault logo.
The roof rails are also visible as are the tail lamps that wrap around the edge when viewed in silhouette.
Renault’s USP for the Triber will be seating for seven with a removable third row for additional space at the rear. It is expected to be offered only with petrol power and will be launched in India in the second half of this year.
We expect that Renault will price the Triber in the range of Rs 5 - 7 lakhs.
Safety equipment on the Triber will include dual front airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and a speed warning system. Higher variants will come with a rear parking camera as well.
There are talks of curtain airbags too, however it remains to be seen whether these make it to the production-spec model.
The Renault Triber will be equipped with standard safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and speed warning system.
The top-spec model is likely to get more airbags and a reverse camera.
