FATHER'S DAY 2019

CELEBRATE FATHER'S DAY WITH ACTIVITIES.

Sunday, 16 June
3rd Sunday of June
Father's Day 2019 in India

Father's Day in 2019 is on the Sunday, 16th of Jun (6/16/2019).

Father's Day is on the 167th day of 2019. There are 198 days left in the year.

Father’s Day is celebrated worldwide to recognize the contribution that fathers and father figures make to the lives of their children.

This day celebrates fatherhood and male parenting. Although it is celebrated on a variety of dates worldwide, many countries observe this day on the third Sunday in June.

In many countries Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday in June, among them the USA, Canada, the UK, France, India, China, Japan, the Philippines and South Africa.

A customary day for the celebration of fatherhood in Catholic Europe is known to date back to at least the Middle Ages, and it is observed on March 19, as the feast day of Saint Joseph, who is referred to as the fatherly Nutritor Domini ("Nourisher of the Lord") in Catholicism and "the putative father of Jesus" in southern European tradition.

This celebration was brought to the Americas by the Spanish and Portuguese, and in Latin America, Father's Day is still celebrated on March 19.

The Catholic Church actively supported the custom of a celebration of fatherhood on St. Joseph's Day from either the last years of the 14th century or from the early 15th century, apparently on the initiative of the Franciscans.

There is no such global standard for the celebration of Father's Day. It is a common practice to gift Dad something that he likes or is useful for him.

Some people manage time and spend the entire day with their Dads while others plan day outings with him. Father's Day dates also actually vary from one country to another.

Countries like India, USA, UK, Japan, Pakistan and others celebrate the occasion on the Third Sunday in June, while some countries have their own special dates for the same.
