India and New Zealand share points as match gets called off

• On Thursday, the highly anticipated ICC World Cup 2019 match between India and New Zealand at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham was called off due to rain. It was the fourth wash-out of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 and the weather has already riled up some of the fans on social media. Both India and New Zealand will share a point between each other. New Zealand remain top of the points table with 7 points while India moved to the third spot with five points.

• 18:25 IST: BAD NEWS! The rainfall in Nottingham just got heavier. It is not a good sign for cricket lovers at all and the fear that the match will get called off is creeping in at the moment. Rain gods, please show some mercy!

• 18:02 IST: Just before the inspection, the rain has returned back rather heavily. The umpires were looking concerned with the damp spots at the square of the wicket. However, the latest downpour has shattered the hopes of all the cricket fans, especially Indian and Kiwi fans. Update on next inspection soon.
