What is fitness?

Definition of Fitness:

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, physical fitness is defined as 'the ability to carry out daily tasks with vigor and alertness, without undue fatigue, and with ample energy to enjoy leisure-time pursuits and respond to emergencies.'











                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              


Based on this definition, fitness involves everything from getting out of bed to hiking to performing activates.

According to the United States Department of Health and Human Services, physical fitness is defined as "a set of attributes that people have or achieve that relates to the ability to perform physical activity.

Physical fitness is a state of health and well-being and, more specifically, the ability to perform aspects of sports, occupations and daily activities
.
Physical fitness is to the human body what fine tuning is to an engine.

 It enables us to perform up to our potential. Fit can be described as a condition that helps us look, feel, and do our best.
